If you turn an hourglass on its side, you get an infinity symbol and the time stops ticking. That’s what happens when I step into the room that in a sense is my time machine. Today I decided to venture into the Indian history.

I went back to time of Mahabharata, for it had always fascinated me- it was a time when the lives of men and Gods had still been entwined and weaved together to create an epic tale. I went into the life of Panchaali. Tracing the life of the Pandava’s wife. I saw everything- from her fiery birth to lonely childhood. I was in a deeply human world reading about a woman born into the man’s world.

For my time machine was my Library and the story of Panchaali came from my book- The Palace of Illusions.
